Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary function of this position is to timely assist patrons/trucking personnel with weighing trucks taking grain samples and keeping an accurate record of grain movement at designated location(s).


HOURS: Day shift.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle incoming/outgoing grain by weighing trucks
  • Obtain grain sample and test grain for quality purposes
  • Accurately keep record of sample test results
  • General maintenance of grain scale equipment keeping things neat and clean. Notify supervisor of any safety concerns
  • Communicate with location personnel of incoming/outgoing truck traffic and grain quality issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management
Requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • Availability to work extended hours
  • Computer and data entry skills
  • Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
  • Agriculture background preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in grain dust
  • Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
Salary Description
$18-$21/ Hour
