Seasonal Energy Assistance Intake Worker

What Were Looking For

We are seeking someone who has:

• Strong Communication skills; ability to handle high call volume Ability to provide polite clear and friendly customer service over the phone to all participants; includes answering questions giving status updates obtaining information for application processing and providing referrals to community resources
• Strong Office Skills and Computer Proficiency Ability to use Microsoft Office email and other basic computer skills; data entry skills and ability to use a desktop scanner
• Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and adapt with changing needs Processing applications including crisis applications as requested; maintain and monitor household information files
• Customer service mindset Must show a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting assisting clients from a variety of backgrounds and assisting customers in completion of applications as necessary
• Flexibility and Collaboration Assist Energy Assistance team with the emergency after-hours phone for crisis deliveries and Emergency Repair or Replacement events.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency and one (1) year of human services related experience
• Knowledge of community resources serving low-income populations
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Ability to work well independently and stay on task
