Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Serve as Scrum Master for a shared services scrum team within the Frameworks & Services Organization.
- Direct day-to-day activities of the scrum team developing Java microservices for enterprise-wide use.
- Manage multiple complex projects/programs from ideation to implementation often spanning months or years.
- Foster collaboration and information sharing among leaders contributors and stakeholders.
- Allocate monitor and forecast team resources to ensure optimal delivery.
- Facilitate all Agile/scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups sprint planning and backlog grooming.
- Manage intake/prioritization process based on business value and team capacity.
- Engage appropriate resources to define approve and accept project scope and requirements.
- Monitor and track progress to ensure timely high-quality and on-budget delivery of features.
- Proactively identify escalate and mitigate issues and risks to keep projects on track.
- Build and execute communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of project status and next steps.
- Maintain clear and frequent communication to manage team and stakeholder expectations.
- Shape and foster a high-performing continuous improvement team culture.
- Actively participate in all phases of technology delivery: discovery assessment initiation planning design development testing deployment and post-implementation support.
- Demonstrate strong leadership organizational and relationship management skills.
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize strong technical aptitude especially with Java and modern software tooling.
- Apply knowledge of various project management methodologies (Agile SAFe Waterfall Lean etc.).
- Leverage expertise in resource allocation forecasting and budgeting.
- Communicate complex findings in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Prefer candidates with healthcare industry experience and knowledge of Aetna systems.
- Operate primarily on Eastern Time Zone schedule.
- Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
