Position Description:

The ideal candidate for this hybrid role is a problem solver structured communicator and servant leader who thrives in a fast paced Agile environment. As a Scrum Master / Business Analyst this individual will guide a high performing development team through disciplined Agile delivery while also serving as the link between clients stakeholders and technical teams. The candidate excels at running Agile ceremonies translating business needs into actionable requirements and clearing obstacles to ensure continuous predictable delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated strong performance can operate independently and consistently uplifts both client confidence and team output.
This position is located in our Lafayette LA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Agile Leadership & Delivery Facilitation
Run daily scrums organize sprints and facilitate all Agile ceremonies ensuring the team works efficiently and stays aligned with sprint goals.
Remove blockers and manage cross team dependencies so the team can meet sprint commitments.
Foster an environment of collaboration continuous improvement and transparent communication.
Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence while coaching team members on best practices.
Requirements Definition & Analysis
Gather analyze and validate business functional and technical requirements.
Translate business processes into user stories acceptance criteria workflows diagrams wireframes and other Agile artifacts.
Create detailed development tickets and track requirements from intake through delivery.
Support backlog grooming refinement and prioritization discussions with Product Owners and technical leads.
Client Interaction & Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitate JAD sessions and other collaborative workshops to clarify application needs and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Translate ambiguous client needs into clear actionable requirements and maintain steady communication with client teams.
Prepare and maintain client facing documentation analysis reports meeting minutes user guides and other deliverables.
Functional & Integrated Testing
Perform functional and integrated testing to validate system behavior against requirements and identify regression risks.
Support test planning issue reproduction defect triage and environment validation in collaboration with developers and testers.
Team Support & Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with developers testers project managers and analysts to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
Mentor junior analysts and support onboarding efforts to improve team resiliency and shared understanding.
Promote knowledge sharing transparency and consistent communic
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelors degree in business information systems or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Functional Lead in an Agile environment.
Strong analytical writing and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams under tight timelines.
Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
US Citizenship required.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred but not required.
Experience authoring SQL queries strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to operate in hybrid roles combining Agile facilitation and business analysis.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80600.00 $176300.00.
