The Scope Processing Technician III cleans anddisinfects using high-leveldisinfection a variety of endoscopes and responsible formaintainingproper function and integrity of all endoscopes and equipment in the processingroom.This is anexpertrole building upon the skills and experience gained from a Scope Technician Iand a detailedunderstanding of endoscopy procedures infection control guidelines and regulatory standards including thetheoreticbasis for operating standards. The scope technicianIII has a broader scope of responsibilities including completes tasks such as performing departmental quality assurance audits and documentation into instrument management system tracking data logs ordering supplies as needed through supply chain process in place. Coordinates repair of scopes andmanagesloaners with the vendor and supply as the primarypreceptorfor alllower-levelstaffproviding guidance and training to newor existing scopetechnicians.
Education:
Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years endoscopic instrument processing experience required.
Required Licensure Certification On-going Training:
Candidate must hold at least two certifications
Acceptable certifications:
- Endoscope Reprocessing: CER through HSPA or CFER through CBSPD
- Sterile Processing: CRCST through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD
Shift:
Rotating Shift (11 am - 7:30 pm )
Salary Range: Minimum 23.54/hour - Maximum 38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
