SCMS Network Architect, Journeyman (TSSCI)

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Network Architect (Journeyman) to support SOCOM SOCRATES networks at SOCOM HQ at MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida. In this role you will provide networking engineering expertise to mission-critical systems and communications networks supporting Department of Defense customers.

Provides network engineering expertise for Integrated Systems Networks (ISN) by maintaining and operating the components needed for enterprise connectivity functionality and security that enable business and mission systems. This role ensures reliable compliant and high-performance connectivity across cloud corporate and secure environments.

• Design configure maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure across cloud and on premises environments including hot and cold site architectures.
• Configure administer and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies including BGP (iBGP/eBGP) OSPF EIGRP RIP VXLAN OTV VLANs Spanning Tree and switching/aggregation.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex network routing switching MAC address VLAN and application connectivity issues.
• Configure and support service provider routers WAN connectivity and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain secure network communications using firewalls security appliances VPNs IKE IKEv2 IPsec and MACsec.
• Support cloud networking and integration with enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) architectures and understand the implementation of CSfC connectivity packages.
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to optimize reliability security and availability.
• Develop and maintain network documentation standards and technical procedures.
• Develop basic automation scripts using Python and Ansible to automate routine network administration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support infrastructure projects system implementations and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies standards and best practices.
