Our client a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences is seeking a "Scientist II (Cell Therapy / Genome Engineering)".
Location: South SanFrancisco CA
Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension)
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr on W2

Job Summary
In this role you will be supporting genome engineering and synthetic biology initiatives. This role contributes to cell therapy development and diseasemodeling programs. The successful candidate will support the needs of the Advanced Cell Engineering Hub particularly in the engineering and profiling of cells for cell therapy development and disease modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer mammalian cells (cancer cell lines iPSCs primary cells) using lentiviral/piggyBac systems and CRISPR gene editing
- Optimize transfection and geneediting workflows
- Troubleshoot and refine cell engineering protocols
- Characterize engineered cells using molecular and genomic assays
- Maintain monitor and qualitycheck cell lines in culture
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS 5 years industry experience or PhD in Molecular Biology Cell Biology Genetics or related field
- Strong handson mammalian cell culture experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with primary T cells and iPSCs
- Skills in: DNA/RNA/protein extraction molecular cloning PCR/RTPCR/ddPCR FACS CRISPR editing siRNA/shRNA SDSPAGE immunoblotting cellbased assays NGS viral vector work
- Familiarity with analysis tools such as Benchling SnapGene FlowJo GraphPad Prism
