Job Summary
At AstraZeneca were embarking on an exciting new frontier in medical science the quest to extend human healthspan. Our newly formed Aging Research Group is at the forefront of this groundbreaking initiative aiming to develop innovative therapeutics that not only add years to life but life to years. We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join dynamic team. As a key member of our group youll play a pivotal role in conducting assays to support drug development of biologics and small molecule compounds that support cellular resilience throughout the aging process.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams to generate pre-clinical data packages
Design and execute in vitro experiments to assess intervention of the cellular aging process with an emphasis on signaling pathways
Troubleshoot and optimize cell-based assays for internal and external transfer
Support ex vivo activities to complement CRO-run in vivo studies
Analyze and interpret experimental data and present findings to internal stakeholders
Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies in the field of aging
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years post-graduation research experience
Experience in designing executing and interpreting cell-based assays
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships in a small team setting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills and Attributes
Broad knowledge of cellular growth/stress pathways
Strong molecular and cell biology skills with ability to intuitively troubleshoot and optimize complex assays
Experience with biologics
Highly self-driven with the ability to work both independently and part of a team
Adaptable and comfortable with changing priorities in a fast-paced research environment

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $91008.80 - $136513.20. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentivesan opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales offered include qualified retirement programs paid time off (i.e. vacation holiday and leaves) as well as health dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
