Science Teacher

St. Johns College High School is seeking a Science Teacher to begin in August of 2026.

The ideal candidate is passionate about science education committed to academic excellence and eager to contribute to the mission and community of a Catholic Lasallian college preparatory high school.

The Science Teacher will foster a rigorous and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity critical thinking collaboration and scientific inquiry while supporting the academic and personal growth of students.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach assigned science courses in accordance with departmental curriculum and school standards.
• Develop engaging lesson plans laboratory activities assessments and instructional materials.
• Maintain a positive structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology to support student learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance.
• Maintain accurate attendance grading and classroom records.
• Participate in faculty meetings professional development retreats and school events.
• Support the mission and values of the school through active involvement in the school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues counselors administration and parents to support student success.
• Supervise students during assigned duties activities and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science or a related field required; Masters degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience particularly at the high school level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students families and colleagues.
• Commitment to the mission of Catholic and Lasallian education.
• Ability to pass required background checks and complete on-boarding requirements.

Schedule

Full-time 10-month faculty position following the academic calendar of St. Johns College High School.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $62000$90000 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
