Job Summary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Secondary (7-12th grade) Education or related field from accredited college or university.
Valid New Mexico Teacher Licensure with endorsement(s) as applicable.
Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) endorsement preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of New Mexico PED Academic Standards required.
Must have or obtain -
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification for infant/child/adult
- Navajo Nation Food Handlers permit
Bilingual in Dine & English preferred.
Must be able to meet minimum physical requirements: sitting standing lifting carrying (up to 50 lbs) reaching squatting kneeling or moving light furniture may be required.
Must have valid state-issued drivers license.
**MUST be able to pass background checks for New Mexico state Navajo Nation and FBI.
SASI schools currently utilize Beyond Textbooks curriculum framework.
SASI is a Tribally Controlled school under the Bureau of Indian Education location on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock NM
