TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:Exempt Position; 10 months; Full time

SALARY:Salary based upon the NC Salary Schedule license and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:School Social Worker NC Educator License required or be qualified to hold a valid/current license; experience working with at-risk children preferred.

DUTIES:Work with students families and educators to identify educational needs that affect student learning; use a variety of appropriate formal and informal tools and techniques including observations and interviews to evaluate the progress and performance of students; assist students and family in gaining access to community resources; consult on issues such as attendance diversity mental health behavior management delinquency crisis intervention homelessness child abuse and neglect; adhere to ethical professional and legal standards; maintain confidentiality of student records and information; other duties assigned by Superintendent or designee.
