School Security Specialist

GHS is seeking a dedicated School Security Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

School Security Specialists maintain a safe welcoming environment for students staff and visitors. This 10-month position works from September through June on a Monday through Friday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Previous security experience and a background working with children are strongly preferred.
• Communication:Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students parents and staff.
• Clearance:Must successfully complete the fingerprinting and criminal history review process.

REPORTS TO:Building Principal and Vice-Principal

JOB GOAL/MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

• Access Control:Monitor building entrances ensure doors remain locked and prevent doors from being propped open.
• Visitor Management:Check in guests facilitate student pick-ups and receive deliveries.
• Campus Monitoring:Patrol hallways periodically and provide continual supervision during your shift.
• Policy Enforcement:Enforce school rules regulations and safety protocols.
