Position Title: Probationary K-12 School Psychologist

Location: Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District

Salary/Pay Scale: $45729 ( $2200 Masters) per the CSUFSD TAC Contract

The successful candidate will:

In the Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD the faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a positive learning environment that recognizes all students unique needs and talents by integrating character education with a critical-thinking curriculum. The emphasis is on teaching the whole child to become a lifelong learner best prepared for college career and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations student observations and diagnostic assessments for children across grades K-12 exhibiting a wide range of abilities and learning styles
• Write clear compliant and comprehensive psychological reports that translate complex psychometric data into actionable classroom recommendations
• Facilitate CSE CPSE and 504 meetings guiding multi-disciplinary teams through eligibility determinations accommodations and program placements
• Design and execute Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify the root causes of challenging classroom behaviors
• Formulate and monitor evidence-based Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student emotional regulation and maximize instructional time
• Actively participate in Child Study and Intervention Team meetings bringing collaborative problem-solving insight to pre-referral cases
• Collect and interpret student and classroom data to accurately assess educational progress and evaluate environmental impacts on learning
• Implement Response to Intervention (RTI) protocols leveraging robust data collection methods to guide multi-tiered academic and behavioral interventions
• Maintain meticulous records of students special education reports progress monitoring metrics and services provided
• Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) is preferred
• Maintain a safe supportive learning environment

• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or her designee

Requirements:

• NYSED Certification as School Psychologist
• Experience in a K-12 setting is preferred
• Ability to facilitate CSE CPSE and 504 meetings and make decisions that are in the best interest of the students
