Enfield Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting the health and well-being of students ensuring they are ready to learn and succeed in a safe and supportive environment.

• Provide direct nursing care to students including first aid medication administration and management of chronic health conditions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized health care plans.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify and address health issues that may impact learning.
• Collaborate with teachers parents and healthcare providers to support students health and educational needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and district policies.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
• Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and guidelines.

• For RN Candidates:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Valid Connecticut RN license.
  • Certification in School Nursing preferred.

• For All Candidates:

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in a healthcare or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric and public health practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community.
