School Nurse (Float) Part-Time (3 days per week)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in MA
• DESE license as a School Nurse highly preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing is highly desirable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide comprehensive health care to students including first aid and emergency care.
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments for vision hearing and developmental issues.
• Develop and implement individual health care plans for students with special medical needs.
• Monitor and manage communicable diseases following public health guidelines.
• Maintain student health records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Educate students staff and parents on health-related topics and promote wellness programs.
• Collaborate with teachers administrators and parents to address student health concerns.
• Participate in the development of school health policies and procedures.
• Ensure the schools health office is well-equipped and maintained.
• Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community resources for student referrals.
