School LPN

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs.

This is a classroom-based position with nursing-related responsibilities. The LPN will work alongside teachers and other school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.

• Assist students feeding by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with activities throughout the school day.
• Follow each students established care plan and all safety procedures.
• Observe students and promptly communicate health-related concerns to the appropriate school staff.
• Communicate effectively with teachers nurses and other members of the school team.
• Maintain each students dignity safety comfort and privacy.

• Current unrestricted LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting feeding mobility and transfer assistance.
• Compassionate dependable patient and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.

• Pay: $34.00 an hr.
• Hours: 7:30a.m.3:00 p.m.
• MUST have PEDS Experience
• PRN/substitute classroom coverage
• Classroom-based school setting
