As a School Counselor at Rivermont School you will play a vital role in supporting students emotional wellness behavioral growth and academic this role you will partner with educators families and clinical teams to create a safe supportive environment where students can thrive. Your work will directly impact students with diverse learning emotional and behavioral needs through compassionate care collaboration and evidence-based therapeutic support.
What Youll Need
Masters degree in social work counseling psychology or family development
Active LPC LCSW or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure
Active Mandt certification
Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development behavioral health and therapeutic interventions
Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings
What Youll Do
Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement
Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals
Oversee PBIS planning facilitate meetings and provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior support strategies
Collaborate with families schools and outside agencies to improve the quality of care and student outcomes
Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele-psychiatry service as needed
