As a School Counselor at Rivermont School you will play a vital role in supporting students emotional wellness behavioral growth and academic this role you will partner with educators families and clinical teams to create a safe supportive environment where students can thrive. Your work will directly impact students with diverse learning emotional and behavioral needs through compassionate care collaboration and evidence-based therapeutic support.

What Youll Need

  • Masters degree in social work counseling psychology or family development

  • Active LPC LCSW or LMFT license or eligibility for licensure

  • Active Mandt certification

  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development behavioral health and therapeutic interventions

  • Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings

What Youll Do

  • Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement

  • Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals

  • Oversee PBIS planning facilitate meetings and provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior support strategies

  • Collaborate with families schools and outside agencies to improve the quality of care and student outcomes

  • Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele-psychiatry service as needed
