Job Description
The John F. Kennedy School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a school building substitute for the upcoming school year beginning September 2026. The school building substitute will join a vibrant and supportive team that prioritizes collaboration creativity flexibility and a strong commitment to the goals of the district as well as to our students families and staff.
The John F. Kennedy School is an inclusive community serving over 480 students in grades K5. We are dedicated to elevating the educational experience for all learners by cultivating a positive school culture and climate that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. Our work is grounded in the purposeful design of rigorous and equitable learning experiences to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for every student.

School Building Substitute
The School Building Substitute provides instructional and classroom support across grade levels as needed. This position requires a flexible collaborative professional who can build positive relationships with students and staff while maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of classroom teachers.
A successful Building Substitute will:

- Be highly flexible adaptable and responsive to changing daily needs.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Create and maintain a positive supportive learning environment.
- Be able to follow lesson plans and implement instructional activities effectively.
- Demonstrate professionalism reliability and sound judgment.
- Hold a bachelors degree preferably in education or a related field.
COMPENSATION: $165/day
