Job Summary
Job Title: Scheduler
Location: 5430 Landmark Ln Prescott AZ 86301
Pay Rate: $28hr on W2.
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule patient care appointments including provider visits laboratory services diagnostic testing procedures treatments and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
- Communicate effectively with patients providers and healthcare staff regarding appointment availability and scheduling needs.
- Schedule appointments in alignment with provider availability and patient preferences.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation within EPIC and other scheduling systems.
- Assist with obtaining and documenting information necessary for pre-certifications and authorizations.
- Support complex scheduling requests under the direction of physicians and clinical staff.
- Ensure a high level of customer service during all patient interactions.
- Verify appointment details and communicate scheduling updates as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and coordinate changes efficiently.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Experience with healthcare scheduling required.
- Experience utilizing EPIC required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Strong customer service background required.
- Experience working with multifaceted online computer applications.
