Job Summary
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Scheduler functions as a liaison between the physicians patients office and hospital testing staff in scheduling patients office visits and testing.
Communicates pertinent clinical/scheduling information to the physicians and office staff.
Coordinates physician and device office visits and testing appointments. Job Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities)
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Licensure / Certification:
Experience: One year experience working with scheduling or hospital units/ancillary departments preferred.
Effective Communication Skills
Customer service oriented
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

(For patient care providers) Provides nursing care ensures an environment of patient safety promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.
Utilizes patient information and physician assessment to identify patients scheduling needs. Prepares written orders for testing.
Educates patients or referring offices on preparation instruction prior to testing and ensures comprehension.
Coordinates and schedules physician and device office visits and testing appointments.
Accurate and efficient with scheduling processes and systems to meet practice productivity standards in order decrease customer wait times while adhering to the Standards of Service Excellence.
Independently problem solves to indentify areas of opportunity to enhance the customer experience.
Responsible for ensuring complete and accurate collection of patient information and demographics.
Communicates with the office staff to as needed for continuity and delivery of quality care.
Makes changes to the schedules as needed per supervisor request. Other Job Responsibilities
Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach to includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.

- Incoming phone calls
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience: One year experience working with scheduling or hospital units/ancillary departments preferred.
