SBA Loan Officer

Promote Credit UnionSmall Business Administrationloan products and services to small and medium sized businesses throughout the community. Provide assistance and training to branch team members in areas related toSBAlendingand training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take a leadership role in representing the Credit Union to the local small business markettobuild awareness brand image credibility and new businesssurrounding SBA 7(a) loans.

• Strong knowledge of SBA SOPs program eligibility credit criteria and loan structure requirements.

• Actively participate in community business organizationsand events.

• Be responsible for generating and servicingSBA loans forsmall to medium sized businessloans.

• Contributes to deposit growth by cross selling and promoting additional credit union products.

• Requires skills and experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment loan structuring credit analysis and monitoring credit performance.

• Aggressively seeks and obtains quality new businessfrom existingclientsprospectingcalls referrals and cross selling efforts.

• Maintain in-depth product knowledge ofall business services; provide quality referralsforbusiness loans merchant bankcardsACH Originationand other business products.

• Cross-train team members as part of sales efforts; may conduct formal training on products and sales techniques.

• Assist Credit Union with collection efforts on delinquent business loansas needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent to four years ofcommercial bankingexperience previous SBA 7(a) experience highly of lending credit analysis preferable in a commercial lending environment. Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance. Ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Excellent communication relationship building and sales skills.

Must take pride inthedepartmentandthecredit union always meeting and exceeding members expectations. Must be professional and courteous in manner with a focus on attendance quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork filing stapling sorting collating typing counting cash etc.).

• Sit for extended periods of time.

• Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper cash drawersmarketing material etc.

• Repetitive motion using wrists hands and fingers.

• Reach keyboards.

• Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator computer telephone copy machine fax machine etc.).
