Saw Operator

Job Summary

The Saw Operator is responsible for safely operating saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications. This position requires the ability to accurately read a tape measure move heavy materials and operate an overhead crane while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate saw machines to cut metal materials to required dimensions.
• Read and accurately use a tape measure to ensure precise cuts.
• Load unload and move heavy materials and carts throughout the production area.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to transport materials.
• Perform basic machine setup and routine inspections.
• Verify material dimensions and quality before and after cutting.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to lift push and move heavy materials and carts.
• Experience operating an overhead crane is preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
