Job Summary

As a SAP Finance & Government Accounting professional candidate will configure and manage SAP FICO/PSM-FM modules to ensure compliance with federal/public sector regulations (GAAP FAR GASB). Responsibilities include managing budget funds management accounts payable/receivable and month-end closing while optimizing system integration and ensuring accurate financial reporting for government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and support SAP Financial Management modules specifically Public Sector Management (PSM-FM) Funds Management (FM) and General Ledger.
  • Government Compliance: Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable and complex month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Budget & Fund Management: Support budgeting forecasting allotment and appropriation tracking within SAP.
  • Integration & Support: Manage interfaces between SAP and other systems providing functional support and troubleshooting for end-users.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare analyze and present financial data and reports for auditing purposes.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in SAP FICO with specific experience in government public sector or federal implementations.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA financial modules particularly Funds Management (FM) and Project System (PS).
  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles (GASB) and federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
  • Attributes: Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
