SAP FI Functional Specialist (ECC & S4HANA)

This position will be fully onsite in Phoenix Arizona.

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI Functional Specialist to support and enhance our SAP ECC Finance environment while playing a key role in our migration to SAP S/4HANA. This position will serve as the primary functional resource for Financial Accounting with an emphasis on General Ledger Fixed Assets Banking/Cash Management and Project Systems while providingsecondarysupport for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

The ideal candidate combines strong accountingand assetknowledge with hands-onECC 6.8SAP configuration experience and has successfullyparticipatedin one or more SAP S/4HANA implementations or system conversions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Configure and supportECC 6.8SAP Financial Accounting (FI) including:

• General Ledger (GL)

• Fixed Assets (FI-AA)

• Banking and Cash Management

• Cost Elements

• Cost Centers

• Profit Centers

• Internal Orders

• Project Systems (PS)

• General Ledger Accounts Payable Fixed Asset for sister companies

• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and related integrations.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP configuration and functional solutions.

• Partner with Accounting and business stakeholders to improve financial processes and system capabilities.

• Perform system analysis gap assessments solution design configuration testing and production support.

• Lead functional design activities for enhancements projects and system improvements.

• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements interfaces reports forms and workflows.

• Coordinate unit integration regression and user acceptance testing.

• Support month-end and year-end financial processes.

• Assistwith production issue resolution and root cause analysis.

• Participate in change management documentation and knowledge transfer activities.

S/4HANA Responsibilities

• Support the organizations transition from SAP ECC6.8to SAP S/4HANA.

• Participate in blueprinting fit-to-standard workshops solution design testing and deployment activities.

• Configure and support S/4HANA Finance functionality.

• Assistwith data conversion and validation activities.

• Evaluate opportunities to simplify business processes using S/4HANAbest practices.

• Supportadoptionof SAP Fiori applications for Finance users.

• Research and review the S/4HANA Readiness activities.

• Team player in solving issues related toEWA(Early Watch Alert).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Information Systems Computer Science or relatedfield.

• 5 years of SAP FI functional experience.

• Strong configuration experience in:

• General Ledger

• Fixed Assets

• Banking

• Project Systems

• Experience supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

• Strong understanding of accounting principlesfinancialreportingand monthly depreciation related activities.

• Experience with:

• Intercompany Accounting

• Consolidation

• Foreign Currency Accounting

• Financial Close processes

• Assets(Depreciation processWBSelementsandInternal Orders)

• Experience writing functional specifications and working closely with ABAP developers.

• Experience with user exits substitutions validations BAdIsLSMWand enhancement frameworks.

• Strong communication analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienceparticipatingin at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or ECC-to-S/4 conversion.

• Experience with Universal Journal (ACDOCA).

• Experience with New Asset Accounting.

• Experience with SAP Cash Management Bank Account Management Electronic Bank Statement (ES) Bank Communication Management (BCM) and Treasury integrations.

• Experience with SAP Fiori.

• Familiarity with SAP Activatemethodology.

• Experience supporting large complex enterprise SAP environments.

• Experience working closely with accounting organizations during financial close and audit activities.
