THE ROLE

Werehiring a Sandblaster at our West Jordan UT forpreparing surfaces of pipes by removing rust old paint and other contaminants to ensure a smooth and clean surface for coating applications as part of our coatings team.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Remove rust scale old coatings and other contaminants from pipe surfaces ensuring a uniform texture thats ready for coating
• Inspect pipe surfaces before and after sandblasting to confirm all contaminants are removed and the finish meets coating adhesion standards
• Apply protective coverings to threaded ends and other areas that shouldnt be blasted
• Operate sandblasting machines compressors and related equipment adjusting settings based on pipe material and desired finish
• Manage dust and debris control including proper disposal of used abrasive materials and keeping the work area clean
• Follow all safety protocols including wearing required PPE and securing the work area from hazards like flying debris or dust inhalation
• Perform routine equipment maintenance cleaning lubricating and replacing worn parts as needed
• Set up and prepare the blasting area including arranging pipes and setting up scaffolding or supports
• Keep accurate records of work completed including pipe types blasted duration and any issues encountered

WHAT YOU NEED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Physical stamina and strong attention to detail
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE use
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

NICE TO HAVE

• 1-3 years of sandblasting experience
• Bilingual ability

COMPENSATION

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.00-22.00 per hour. Actual pay will bedeterminedbased on experience qualifications and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for shift differentials overtime pay and the full benefits package described above.
