Job Summary

  • Assist in the process documentation and support of State Sales/Use Tax Audits and refund requests.
  • Autonomously be responsible for sales/use taxes for company division(s) including performing reviews of transactions reviewing State/Local tax returns training and answering taxability questions.
  • Independently perform Sales/Use Tax research as needed such as a change in operations change in tax laws entry into a new State etc.
  • Assist in Department tax accounting requirements as needed including tax account reconciliations and tax adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist in the building and maintaining of Use Tax rules by State for system requirements and building and maintaining tax tools by State for tax users.

  • A Bachelorsor Masters degree in accounting from an accredited institution or
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in a business or business-related field from an accredited institution which includes accounting class hours (core classes such as Principles of Accounting Intermediate Accounting and other relevant coursework) coupled with relevant/complementary work experience commensurate with the accounting position
  • 3 - 5 years multi-state Sales/Use Tax experience
  • 1 - 2 years experience in the upstream and midstream Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Access
  • CPA CMI or MBA a plus

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
