Job Summary
Professionally and effectively market consult and educate on the advantages of Priority Healths benefit plans to current and prospective employers members and consultants/agents to achieve personal and corporate membership goals and objectives. Clear understanding of various financing mechanisms and substantial knowledge of the competition is required. This position focuses on the U100 market.
Identifies prospective employer groups within an assigned territory and maintain an up-to-date and accurate database. Included within this data base will be; information on the employers current health plan annual renewal date labor/union affiliations and other pertinent data as it relates to the nature in which they conduct business
Generates new membership through direct sales efforts. Gathers information through effective communications (preferably through face to face sales efforts) to assess a prospective employers status in respect to current health insurance plan and long range goals. Prepares and presents a logical and professional proposal after the employers needs have been identified and the necessary data has been collected
Maintains ongoing consultative relationship with current clients (minimally a call per quarter) to promote the re-sale of Priority Health and to increase membership through the introduction of new products and funding mechanisms
Comprehends and demonstrates a thorough understanding of the rating methodology for fully insured and self-insured business
Collaborates with the underwriting department to collect necessary data strategizes and creates accurate renewal rates for current clients and new rates for prospective clients
Completes reports as requested by the associate vice president sales on a weekly monthly and annual basis.
Required
Associates Degree
3 years of relevant experience sales experience
5 years of relevant experience sales experience in a health insurance setting
LIC-Michigan Health & Life Insurance License - STATEMI State of Michigan 90 Days required Or
LIC-Health and Life Insurance - State Other than Michigan State Other than Michigan required
LIC-Drivers License - STATEMI State of Michigan required

Bachelors Degree
