Description
SEWS Farmington Hills Michigan Office.Although located at SEWS Farmington Hills Office this is a Hybrid position which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Job Title: Account Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to manage Customer financials focusing on; Quoting Customer obtaining Purchase / Tool Orders address extraordinary costs and obtain customer approval for recovery throughout the program/project life utilizing internal and Customer systems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with OEM purchasing engineering and program teams as the primary commercial interface with OEM customers.
- Participate in customer program/project team meetings and be responsible to report all financial matters to the relevant functional groups.
- Support the development of multi-year OEM business acquisition strategies aligned to vehicle platforms model cycles and sourcing timelines.
- Achieve profit objectives consistent with North America Business Unit budget.
- Manage pricing utilizing Sumitomos internal systems.
- Schedule and champion regular Open Issues meeting with customers (Buyer) and support customer program team meetings.
- Be knowledgeable on Sumitomos products and general understanding of Sumitomos Manufacturing.
- Assist the Sales team in developing new/improved processes and procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3 - 5 years Automotive Sales Account Management Experience.
- Wire Harness Commercial experience with Stellantis is preferred.
- Financial analytical negotiation communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to be on call as needed to support meetings outside regular hours.
