Job Summary
Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Assistant plays a key supporting role in driving revenue and enhancing the guest experience at Overton Hotel. This position provides administrative sales and marketing support to the Sales & Marketing team while also assisting hotel leadership with day-to-day operational and strategic initiatives.
We are seeking an energetic hands-on individual who is always ready to jump in support any department and keep operations moving forward. This is a highly visible role requiring strong organization attention to detail and a proactive service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
Assist the Director of Sales with tracking project timelines deadlines and follow-ups to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently
Assist Sales Managers with prospecting lead generation and account research
Manage and update CRM systems account records and sales activity tracking
Coordinate site visits show rooms client tours and VIP arrangements
Conduct follow-ups with clients to maintain relationships and uncover new opportunities
Marketing Support
Assist with execution of marketing campaigns promotions and partnerships
Liaison between hotel and marketing team giving feedback for social media content email marketing and website updates
Support creation of sales collateral presentations and promotional materials
Help maintain brand standards across all departments ensuring all collateral is approved and with consistent messaging
Leadership & Administrative Support
Provide direct administrative and project support to the General Manager and hotel leadership team
Assist the General Manager with tracking project timelines deadlines and follow-ups to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently
Prepare reports presentations and internal communications
Assist in organizing meetings events and strategic initiatives- taking notes when needed
Handle special projects that contribute to overall hotel performance
Operations & Team Support
Act as a flexible on-the-floor resourceready to assist across departments as business needs arise
Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the hotel supporting both team members and guests
Step in to assist with events group arrivals and high-demand periods
Foster a team-first environment by proactively identifying ways to support operations
Qualifications
13 years of experience in hospitality sales marketing or administrative support preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint); Opera and STS a plus
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Energetic proactive and willing to take initiative across multiple areas of the hotel
Professional positive and service-driven attitude
Preferred Skills
Experience in hotel sales or events
Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools
Excellent communication skills and basic understanding of hotel operations
