Job Summary
About the Role
Our Client is the U.S. branch office of a Korean conglomerate engaged in international trading and distribution with a strong focus on steel products and other areas such as petrochemical energy-related products biofuel and new business development. Our Client seeks a Sales Associate Steel & New Business based in Houston TX. Work Type: W2 Full-Time. Work Arrangement: Onsite only. Expected start: Around July 2026. The role focuses on developing new accounts in the steel industry and supporting expansion into broader industrial business opportunities in the Houston market.
Responsibilities
- Develop new accounts in the steel industry.
- Support expansion into broader industrial business opportunities in the Houston market including energy oil & gas EPC projects and infrastructure-related sectors.
- Build business from the ground up in a new branch office.
- Work independently in a new branch office environment.
Qualifications
- Fluent English (required)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (required)
- 35 years of experience in steel sales (preferred)
- Experience in trading import/export steel distribution service center business energy-related business or industrial sales (preferred)
- Strong communication negotiation and customer relationship management skills (preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a new branch office environment (preferred)
- Highly motivated responsible detail-oriented and willing to develop new markets (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (preferred)
- Korean language ability is strongly preferred (preferred)
- Candidate does not need to be Korean; strong English communication skills are the top priority
Compensation
$70K $80K
