Job Summary
ERG is seeking a Safety Specialist to support occupational safety and health programs. The Safety Specialist willassistclients inmaintainingsafe workplaces through regulatory compliance safety program implementation inspections training and technical support. This position requires a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations excellent technical writing abilities and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams clients and stakeholders.This is afull-timeonsite position atafederal government agencyin Washington D.C.
- Helpdevelopimplement andmaintainoccupational safety and health programs
- Conduct safety inspections assessments and evaluations of industrial construction laboratory and office environments
- Evaluate workplace conditions andidentifypotential hazards recommending corrective actions and risk mitigation measures
- Develop technical reports safety documentation training materials and outreach communications with minimal editing requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance across projects
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene Physical Sciences or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in occupational safety environmentalhealthand safety
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations DOT requirements NFPA codes and other workplace safety standards
- Strong technical writing editing and proofreading skills
- Experience preparing reports training materials and safety documentation.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is preferred but notrequired
- Must currently hold ormaintainaDepartment of Defensesecurity clearance of Top SECRET
- Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
