HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Staten Island NYto support our growing commercial construction projects. If youre passionate about making an impact driving compliance and building a culture where every worker goes home safe we want you on our team.

• Provide full-time dedicated on-site safety oversight
• Enforce project safety requirements and applicable OSHA standards
• Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance
• Participate in pre-task planning JHAs toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Document safety observations corrective actions and daily activities
• Work closely with project management and field teams to maintain a safe work environment

• Construction safety experience required
• Strong concrete and/or heavy civil construction experience preferred
• Pier marine or waterfront construction experience is a plus
• OSHA 30 required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• CHST ASP CSP or similar certification is a plus
