Summary Description
Provide support for the Safety & Security Department as outlined in the Work-Based Learning training plan.
Qualifications
- Previous field experience through completion of one or all of the following courses at the High School:Criminal Justice I Criminal Justice II and FCSO Internship Program.
- Basic reading writing and computation skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment.
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students staff parents public safety partners etc.
- Knowledge of school procedures and policies.
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide assistance as planned or coordinated by the Safety & Security Department.
- Work closely with staff(s) or other stakeholders to create a safe & secure school environment.
- Assist the Safety & Security Department in preparing materials and equipment for department experiences and needs.
- Other duties may be assigned through the immediate supervisor.
Job Location
The primary worksite is the School Support Center (1415 Amherst Street Winchester VA) however work demands
may require the intern to report to alternative buildings within the school division.
Pay Rate
The rates for FY26: 1st year - $15.00
2nd year - $15.25
3rd year - $15.50
