Safety Manager

Working closely with plant supervisors human resources and corporate leadership will develop and maintain a comprehensive Safety and Environmental Compliance program. You will be responsible for reducing plant accidents overseeing the standardization of safety practices and managing corrective action.

• Perform or coordinate job hazard analyses/job safety analyses for manufacturing operations.

• Develop an employee training program focused on safety.

• Implement accident prevention and injury prevention processes and procedures.

• Maintain a comprehensive safety program appropriate for a manufacturing plant including emergency preparedness.

• Participate in safety audits.

• Maintain compliance with federal state and local safety and environmental regulations.

• Maintain employee injury records.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety and Health Engineering or similar required.

• At least 3-5 years experience working in a safety management position in a manufacturing environment.

• Should have broad knowledge about OSHA EPA and state and local safety and environmental requirements.

• Should know about metal forming and shaping machinery with an understanding of machine guarding electrical safety and lock-out/tag-out.
