The Safety Manager will lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of the organizations safety program. This role ensures compliance with OSHA and local regulations drives a culture of proactive safety and protects both people and assets on all job sites.
- Design update and enforce comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections hazard assessments and safety audits.
- Lead incident investigations prepare rootcause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training toolbox talks and orientation for employees subcontractors and visitors.
- Collaborate with project managers and foremen to integrate safety considerations into project planning.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation (injury logs training records inspection reports compliance certificates).
- Prepare and present regular safety performance reports to senior leadership.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Promote a safetyfirst culture by encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Construction Management Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
- Indepth knowledge of OSHA regulations construction safety standards and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments incident investigations and develop corrective action plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between multiple job sites.
- 5 years of progressive experience in construction safety management including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Track record of reducing workplace incidents and improving safety metrics.
- Experience developing and delivering safety training programs and leading safety committees.
- Handson experience with highrise commercial and residential construction projects.
- Background working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
