Were currently seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team and play a critical role in fostering our strong safety culture.

What Youll Do:

As a Safety Officer you will:

Develop and Maintain Safety Programs:

Create implement and manage company-wide safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and other safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with staff leadership HR and executive management.

Lead Training and Education:

Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks.

Design and deliver ongoing safety communications like lunch-and-learns.

Perform Site Inspections and Audits:

Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.

Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.

Investigate and Manage Incidents:

Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses.

Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to promote safety awareness.

Advise on safety aspects during project planning and execution.

Manage Risk and Compliance:

Develop site-specific safety plans.

Maintain records of safety activities and incidents.

Continuously Improve Safety Culture:

Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices.

Recommend and implement strategies to enhance safety.

What You Bring:

Education:

B.S. degree in Environmental Health or Safety discipline preferred.

Experience:

5-7 years of related experience in construction safety.

Proficiency in OSHA standards fall protection PPE LOTO confined space and other safety practices.

Proven success in developing and implementing safety programs.

Certifications:

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required).

CPR/First Aid certification; additional certifications (e.g. MAWP PIT ASP) are highly desirable.

Skills and Attributes:

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Exceptional problem-solving organizational and leadership abilities.
