Safety Lead – Care Campus

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Safety Lead is a hands on working lead who coordinates shift-level Safety staff assignments and coverage maintains a visible presence across the Care Campus and designated perimeter areas and provides first-level leadership during safety incidents and emergencies.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Coordinate Safety staff assignments posts breaks coverage shift briefings and handoffs.
• Monitor campus and perimeter conditions including Crocker Street and respond to emerging safety concerns.
• Model trauma-informed engagement conflict resolution and de-escalation while supporting appropriate crisis and emergency response.
• Coach and support Safety staff reinforce documentation and safety procedures and escalate significant concerns to the Safety Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE

Highly active and visible role with frequent walking and standing. Day evening weekend and holiday shifts may be assigned based on campus needs.

Qualifications :

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

• Three or more years of relevant experience in safety homeless services behavioral health crisis response security residential services or a related participant-facing setting preferred.
• Prior lead supervisory or team-coordination experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with de-escalation crisis response incident management or emergency procedures preferred.
• Strong judgment communication teamwork situational awareness and ability to remain calm in rapidly changing situations.

Work Environment

Regular use of a computer and HR technology platforms is required along with the ability to manage detailed records and sustained periods of screen-based work. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement with regular onsite presence and occasional travel among Los Angeles-area locations.
