Senior Pipeline Safety Inspector

Location: Danville VA

Anticipated Duration: ASAP - 7 months

Travel: Mileage reimbursed for all travel along the pipeline route

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Inspector to support pipeline construction activities on an active project near Goshen UT. This is a field-based role requiring daily presence along the right-of-way to monitor and enforce safety compliance throughout construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections along the pipeline right-of-way and at the construction office
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA DOT and client-specific safety standards
• Identify document and report safety hazards and non-conformances
• Lead or support toolbox talks safety orientations and incident investigations
• Maintain accurate inspection records and daily reports
• Coordinate with construction management and other inspection disciplines to resolve safety concerns
• Stop-work authority in the event of imminent hazards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pipeline construction safety inspection experience
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA 30 CHST CSP or equivalent) preferred
• Strong working knowledge of pipeline construction practices and applicable safety regulations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote field environment

Requirements / Candidate Notes

• Vehicle: Candidate must have a personal four-wheel-drive vehicle.
• Schedule: Immediate start; assignment expected to run through approximately the end of March.
