Responsibilities

Your Role:

We are seeking ahands-on Safety Engineerto drive risk reduction and strengthen safety performance at our Louisville Foil Plant a large-scale manufacturing facility with over700 employees across multiple production lines and processes.

This role is heavily focused onoccupational safety and hazard controlwithin a complex industrial environment that includesrolling mills high-speed equipment heat processes and chemical exposure risks.

You will spend significant time on the production floor partnering with operations maintenance and leadership toidentify hazards prevent serious injuries and build a proactive safety culture.

  • Leadrisk identification and mitigation effortsacross key plant hazards (machine guarding LOTO heat noise combustible dust chemical exposure)
  • Conduct and leadincident investigations and root cause analysis driving corrective actions to closure
  • Perform and supportrisk assessments and hazard analysesto reduce high-potential events
  • Influence and coach plant leadership and hourly workforce to improvesafety behaviors and culture
  • Partner with engineering and operations oncapital projects process changes and safety design
  • Maintain and improveEHS management systems and compliance programs(OSHA EPA)
  • Manage and utilizeEHS systems (Gensuite)for tracking incidents audits and corrective actions
  • Supportindustrial hygiene programs safety training and regulatory documentation
  • Lead or participate insafety audits inspections and plant safety committees

Qualifications

We Need You to Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Safety Environmental Science or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education which has imparted the required knowledge.
  • 3 yearsof safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge ofOSHA regulations and risk assessment methods
  • Experience with:
    • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
    • Safety audits and inspections
    • Employee engagement and training

Icing On the Cake:

  • CSP or ASP certification(or actively working toward certification)
  • Experience inheavy manufacturing environments(e.g. metals converting chemical or high-speed production)
  • Exposure toindustrial hygiene environmental compliance or air permitting
  • Experience usingEHS management systems (e.g. Gensuite)
