SEWS - Ohio Customer Service Center (Marysville OH)
BASIC PURPOSE:
- Provide direct support and coordination of Safety programs across OCSC ACSC CCSC and KCSC locations ensuring alignment with corporate standards and site-specific needs. Manages the safety programs for the facilities to ensure the safety of all associates. Ensuring compliance with SEWS SWS and governmental safety rules laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance of company operations with federal state local and company requirements.
- Maintain and update safety programs procedures and training materials to ensure compliance.
- Drive a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness accountability and engagement at all levels of the organization.
- Conduct and manage safety audits (daily weekly monthly annual) ensuring timely tracking and closure of corrective actions
- Provide Safety topics and awareness efforts to organization on a weekly monthly basis or as needed.
- Lead accident and incident investigations including root cause analysis development of corrective actions and follow-up to ensure effective implementation.
- Assist in industrial hygiene assessments (noise chemical exposure air quality etc.) and support PPE and ergonomic evaluations.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety including near miss reporting corrective actions and process enhancements.
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspection activities related to Safety
- Coordinate emergency procedures including review updates training and drills to test effectiveness (emergency evacuations take cover spill response etc.). Maintain company contingency plans.
- Lead risk assessments hazard analysis and SWS safety activities
- Occasional travel is required to support multi-site operations.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field required.
- 13 years of progressive professional experience in safety environmental or related disciplines preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
- Demonstrate attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Track analyze and report safety performance metrics identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours as needed.
