Job Summary
STV is seeking a Safety Director Aviation to join our national aviation team. This position is based onsite at our aviation client site in Philadelphia PA.
This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organizations aviation safety program during construction build. This role develops implements and continuously improves safety policies procedures and compliance programs to ensure a proactive safety culture while meeting all applicable FAA OSHA and regulatory requirements. The Safety Director partners with executive leadership and operations to identify risks drive corrective actions and promote operational excellence.
- Lead and manage the organizations Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with FAA regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop implement and maintain aviation safety policies procedures and standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership communication and employee engagement.
- Conduct hazard identification risk assessments and safety audits across all aviation operations.
- Investigate accidents incidents and safety events identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations OSHA requirements and applicable federal state and local safety standards.
- Manage internal and external safety audits and regulatory inspections.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for flight crews maintenance personnel and operational staff.
- Foster continuous improvement through data analysis trend monitoring and proactive safety initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Aviation Management Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive aviation experience including at least 5 years in aviation safety leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations Safety Management Systems (SMS) aviation risk management and accident investigation.
- Experience leading regulatory audits and compliance programs.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing organizational safety culture.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.

Compensation Range:
