Safety Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Process and manage incident reports and documentation
• Serve as lead for all compliance inspections (OSHA Fire EPA etc.)
• Investigate accidents and determine countermeasures.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety training records.
• Coordinate compliance tests including Medical Clearance Hearing Tests Air and Noise monitoring.
• Order safety supplies and provide appropriate PPE to employees.
• Generate monthly accident and safety assessment reports.
• Conduct safety training classes.
• Lead the Safety Committee.
• Assist with new employee orientation training.
• Issue disciplinary warnings and counsel employees.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent computer skills in MS Office.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Environment Health and Safety or equivalent experience preferred but not required; CSP preferred but not required.
• Bachelors Degree and/or certification preferred but not required.
• Workers Compensation knowledge and work experience preferred but not required.
