Dohrn is seeking a Full Time Safety Assistant for our Corporate Office in Rock Island Il!

Schedule: Monday - Friday daytime

Wage: 19.52/hr

Purpose

To ensure compliance with all state and federal laws regarding Safety including DOT and OSHA.

Maintain accurate files/records
Gather scanned documentation
Maintain DOT recordable accident records and all documents required
Work directly with Zurich insurance and Fleet Safety using professional communication
Oversee the safety training files to ensure all required initial and recurrent training is completed
Audit hours of service
Maintain DOT Inspection reports through communication with the shop
Perform other duties as needed

Valid Driver License
High School completion or equivalent
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Detail-oriented analytical thinker and problem-solver
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment or independently
Excellent attendance

Working Conditins/Physical Demands

Primarily sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time
May be occasionally required to exert up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects
The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise dust etc;
Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor
Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering grasping and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists hands and fingers
Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; will be exposed to noise including telephone office machinery and conversations of others
