Key Responsibilities
As a Rotational Engineer you will:
Participate in a variety of activities throughout the engineering project lifecycle including feasibility studies materials research design and concept development scoping environmental assessments safety planning specifications scheduling and revisions.
Assist in the planning design construction and maintenance of transportation facilities.
Monitor and evaluate contract and contractor performance to ensure compliance with specifications; recommend corrective actions for deficiencies.
Collect and review research materials ensuring the accuracy validity and appropriateness of all data sources.
Prepare engineering and design documents using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
Qualifications
This position will be filled as either an Engineer I or Engineer II based on the criteria listed below.
The qualifications for the Engineer I level are:
A bachelors degree or higher in a Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Proof of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
The qualifications for the Engineer II level are:
A bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Proof of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
At least two years of post-graduate engineering experience.
Preferences
Preference may be given to those with at least one of the following:
UDOT experience (internship)
Less than 2 years engineering experience
Recent graduation date
