Job Summary
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree. Rotary-wing rating specifically a helicopter class. Private pilot license ( PPL ) or Commercial pilot license ( CPL ). Certified ground instructor ( CGI ) or Certified flight instructor ( CFI ). Instrument rating or Certified flight instructor with Instrument rating ( CFII ). At least two years of flight experience or 100 hours of private flight time. Experience teaching online asynchronous or synchronous courses. Specialization degree in Aviation Science Aviation Engineering/Management and/or Aeronautical Engineering with Professional Pilot License and other Flight Certifications approved by the FAA . Experience teaching online or hybrid/blended format at university level or documented training in teaching online. Higher education teaching experience in a high-demand occupational area (e.g. Private Aircraft Operations Instrument Flight Rules for Aviation Principals and Methods of Flight Instruction Theory of Multi-Engine Aircraft Operations Theory of Commercial Flight).
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in aviation and/or education discipline. Experience with online curriculum development in Canvas. Three or more years of teaching experience in K-12 two-year or four-year college or university.
