Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms and a tented outdoor event space making us a premier destination for weddings meetings and special are currently seeking a Rooms Manager to join our leadership SummaryThe Rooms Manager is responsible for overseeing all Rooms Division operations including Front Office Housekeeping and guest service functions ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction operational excellence associate engagement and brand compliance. This position leads the coordination of room readiness guest accommodations service recovery efforts and departmental performance to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving operational and financial ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsOversee daily operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping departments to ensure service excellence and guest coach and mentor department supervisors and associates through a hands-on leadership as Manager on Duty as compliance with hotel policies procedures and Hilton brand room inventory room availability room blocks VIP arrivals and special guest room status and coordinate room readiness between Front Office and departmental budgets labor goals and cost-control objectives are accurate departmental records reports schedules and productivity ExperienceDeliver exceptional hospitality and lead by example in all guest guest concerns professionally and promptly while identifying opportunities to exceed guest feedback compliments and service recovery efforts to drive continuous guest recognition programs and service initiatives are actively maintained and and maintain professional relationships with hotel guests and DevelopmentRecruit interview hire train develop and retain high-performing ongoing instruction in hospitality communication leadership and operational a culture built on the Meyer Jabara Journey Philosophy through empowerment accountability and associate departmental meetings and participate in hotel leadership performance expectations and monitor progress through coaching and and celebrate associate achievements and an open-door environment that promotes engagement and positive associate & Property OperationsPartner closely with Housekeeping and Engineering to coordinate room readiness and guest satisfaction with Accounting regarding audits controls discrepancies and departmental financial associates maintain extensive knowledge of hotel services local attractions dining shopping transportation and community relationships with local businesses and service providers to support guest guests with recommendations reservations and area information to enhance their consistent communication across all Rooms Division 5 years of hotel Front Office experience 3 years of hotel management experience managing multiple Rooms Division departments school diploma or equivalent Management degree verbal and written communication skills in in Microsoft Word Excel and with Hilton OnQ systems ability to lead teams resolve guest concerns and drive operational brand experience or a second language in a full-service hotel environment Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed throughout the Front Office Housekeeping areas guest rooms public spaces and administrative standing and walking throughout the use of computers telephones and office bending reaching pushing pulling and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds; ability to lift up to 50 pounds schedule required including weekends evenings and holidays as business needs Join Meyer Jabara HotelsGrowth opportunities within a respected hospitality and team-oriented work to associate development and to be part of a high-performing Hilton-branded role with direct impact on guest satisfaction operational excellence and team -Employment ScreeningEmployment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and any applicable pre-employment screenings in accordance with company policies and all applicable Opportunity EmployerMeyer Jabara Hotels is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
