This includes cleaning rooms making beds replenishing linens and guest supplies and ensuring guest satisfaction through attention to detail and prompt Duties and Responsibilities:Clean and service assigned guestrooms and bathrooms according to hotel standards and proceduresMake beds change linens dust furniture vacuum floors and remove trashReplace guest amenities and supplies in rooms (e.g. soap towels toilet paper coffee etc.)Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediatelyEnsure cart equipment and storage areas are clean and well-stockedRespond promptly and courteously to guest requestsFollow proper procedures for lost and found itemsAdhere to safety and security procedures and policies at all timesExpected to report to work on time and be prepared to begin duties as scheduledMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious housekeeping or cleaning experience in hospitality or healthcare preferredAbility to understand and follow verbal/written instructionsMust be dependable and detail-orientedPhysical Requirements:Frequent walking standing bending stooping lifting and reachingMust be able to lift push or pull up to 3050 pounds occasionallyAbility to work on feet for up to 8 hours per shiftMust be able to use cleaning equipment such as vacuums mops carts repetitive motion (e.g. scrubbing bed making)Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals in a safe and responsible mannerProductivity Standards (Industry Standard):Occupied Rooms (Stayover or Checkout):Expected to clean 1518 rooms per 8-hour shift depending on room type and brand standard target: 2530 minutes per occupied room (POR)Stayover Rooms:Typically requires 1520 minutes per room depending on guest Rooms:Typically requires 3035 minutes per room depending on inspection standards and room Areas:Time allocations will vary and are expected to be completed per daily expectations may be adjusted based on occupancy levels room condition and safety Compliance Statements (New York State):Break and Meal Periods:Employees are entitled to meal breaks in accordance with New York State Labor Law. A 30-minute unpaid meal period will be provided during shifts over six hours that extend through the midday meal period (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). A second break may be required for shifts of 10 hours or more. Scheduling of breaks will be coordinated by the supervisor based on operational Workload Conditions:This position requires physical stamina and the ability to complete daily room assignments safely.
