Job Summary
Position Objective
The Roofing Production Coordinator owns the execution of Kapella Roofings projects from the
moment a signed job is handed off by sales through final completion closeout and warranty
registration across both residential (insurance and retail) and commercial (reroof coatings
maintenance and capital) work.
The role exists to deliver every job on time on budget at the required quality and safety standard
and at the gross margin the job was sold at. The Production Coordinator is the single point of
accountability between the sale and the finished roof coordinating crews subcontractors materials
permits inspections quality control safety and customer communication.

Requirements
What This Role Owns
The Production Coordinator runs day-to-day roofing production and is accountable for the following:
1. Sales-to-Production Handoff
Receive signed job packages from sales and estimating; confirm scope measurements
materials budget and margin before scheduling.
Identify gaps discrepancies or missing information and resolve them with sales/estimating
before work begins.
Set the production plan and customer expectations for each job at kickoff.

2. Scheduling Materials & Procurement
Build and maintain the production calendar; sequence and schedule crews subcontractors and
equipment across residential and commercial jobs.
Order materials to the approved takeoff and coordinate deliveries to hit the schedule; manage
returns and control over-ordering and waste.
Adjust schedules proactively for weather supply permitting and crew availability.
3. Crew & Subcontractor Coordination
Assign coordinate and hold crews and subcontractors accountable to scope schedule and
quality.
Verify subcontractor insurance licensing and compliance before work begins.
Serve as the daily point of contact for field issues and problem-solving.
4. Permits Inspections & Code Compliance
Pull permits and schedule municipal and manufacturer inspections.
Ensure work meets code manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
5. Quality Control & Safety
Conduct site visits and enforce QC checklists; manage punch lists to completion before
closeout.
Ensure workmanship meets Kapella and manufacturer standards so warranties are valid.
Enforce job-site safety and fall-protection protocols; drive a zero-incident OSHA-compliant
culture.
6. Budget & Margin Protection
Manage job costs against the approved budget; track labor materials and change orders.
Protect the gross margin the job was sold at; flag and document overruns and scope changes
promptly.
Verify and approve job-related invoices and subcontractor billing.
7. Customer Communication
Keep owners and homeowners informed throughout the build; set and manage expectations.
Address issues quickly and professionally escalating when needed to protect the relationship.
8. Closeout Warranty & Documentation
Complete final inspection and punch list; confirm the customer is satisfied.
Register manufacturer and workmanship warranties; complete all closeout documentation.
Keep the CRM / project-management system current at every stage (e.g. AccuLynx
JobNimbus or Procore for commercial).
Required Experience & Skills
5 years in roofing or construction production project coordination or field supervision.
Hands-on knowledge of both residential and commercial roofing systems (asphalt shingle tile
metal; TPO EPDM PVC modified bitumen and coatings).
Proven crew and subcontractor scheduling and management.
Ability to read scopes plans and material takeoffs and order materials accurately.
Familiarity with permitting and municipal inspection processes.
Working knowledge of job-cost budgets and margin protection.
Proficiency with roofing / project-management software and general business technology.
Strong organization communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and the ability to be on job sites regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Manufacturer certifications (e.g. GAF CertainTeed Carlisle or equivalent).
Experience with insurance-restoration scopes and supplements and with commercial capital
projects.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a strong plus for crew coordination.
