Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring on behalf of our client for a Robotics Engineering Lead to join their team onsite in Santa Rosa California. The client designs simulates prototypes tests manufactures and optimizes technology and electronic solutions for the communications 5G automotive energy quantum aerospace defense and semiconductor markets serving customers in over 100 countries with a global workforce of approximately 16800 employees.

In this role the Robotics Engineering Lead will own the automation of targeted manufacturing processes from concept through full production deployment. This includes integrating collaborative robots (cobots) for assembly handling and test tasks as well as deploying autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to move material across the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics within a live manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mix of software and mechanical engineering skills
  • Hands-on experience programming and integrating collaborative robots (e.g. Universal Robots or similar) and their end-effectors grippers and vision systems
  • Experience with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and material-handling automation on a factory floor
  • Experience with cobot simulation and offline programming tools to validate cobot cell layouts cycle times and reachability before physical deployment
  • Experience with ROS / ROS 2 and robot simulation or digital-twin tools (e.g. RobotStudio RoboDK or vendor equivalents)
  • Familiarity with 2D/3D machine vision force/torque control and pick-and-place applications
  • Experience with AMR fleet management and integration with warehouse and manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience in electronics or precision high-mix low-volume manufacturing
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. Creo SolidWorks AutoCAD) for tooling and layout
  • Working knowledge of machine safety standards and risk assessment for robotic and collaborative applications (e.g. ISO 10218 ISO/TS 15066 ISO 12100 ISO 13849)
