Job Summary
Robins Nest Cafe Food Service Assistant
The position involves independently leading the daily operations of a small coffee shop including preparing and serving beverages operating the register stocking cleaning and maintaining inventory levels. The role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
Excellent customer service skills are essential to create a friendly and positive experience for all patrons.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-2:30pm
Wage is $17.00 per hour
$.80 added for differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday..
2.50 added for differential night pay for work performed between 6pm-6am.
- Greets customers answers questions and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
- Cleans inspects and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
- Assists and guides student workers
- Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
- Adheres to federal state and local food safety regulations policies and procedures
- Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning chopping food and serving food to customers
